Monday, May 13th, marked an exciting day at Melbourne Polytechnic as the Carpentry Australia Apprentice Roadshow arrived. With 90 new carpentry, joinery, and cabinet making students in attendance, the event aimed to welcome and support them as they embarked on their journey.
The presence of Carpentry Australia sponsors, including Paslode, Ramset, Pryda, Stabila, King Gee, and Apprenticeships Victoria, added to the enjoyment. Students were signed up for free membership with Carpentry Australia, receiving branded gear as they joined the community.

Throughout the day, students engaged in activities like the cornhole game, with prizes up for grabs. They also participated in tool demos and connected with their peers.
The event’s success highlighted Carpentry Australia’s commitment to supporting apprentices at TAFE institutions. It underscored the importance of investing in the future of the trades, ensuring a vibrant and skilled workforce for years to come.
As the day ended, it was clear that the roadshow was just the beginning. With tools in hand and a supportive community behind them, these apprentices are ready to build their futures in carpentry.
